Job Overview

This role involves leveraging digital tools and data analytics to optimize water resource management in Baidoa. The Digital Water Resource Analyst will collaborate with local stakeholders to design solutions for water distribution, conservation, and infrastructure planning. The position aligns with Somalia’s national goals for climate adaptation and sustainable urban development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze hydrological data using GIS and remote sensing technologies.
  • Develop digital models for water resource forecasting and allocation.
  • Design dashboards for real-time monitoring of water quality and usage.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and NGOs on water infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct training sessions for local teams on digital water management tools.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with hydrological modeling software (HEC-HMS, SWAT).
  • Strong analytical skills in water resource data interpretation.
