Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and implementation of sustainable construction projects, including energy-efficient buildings and water conservation systems.
  • Coordinate with local stakeholders, government agencies, and international partners to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet delivery targets.
  • Integrate green building technologies and materials into construction processes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to maintain high standards of workplace safety.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects in developing regions.
  • Expertise in sustainable construction methodologies and certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
  • Strong leadership and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, AutoCAD).
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and community engagement challenges.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification in Sustainable Design preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on sustainability.
  • Previous work in Somalia or other East African regions is an advantage.

Salary

800,000 – 1,200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
