Job Overview
This position is responsible for operating and maintaining water treatment facilities to ensure the delivery of safe, potable water to communities in Merka. The ideal candidate will oversee treatment processes, monitor water quality, and coordinate with local stakeholders to optimize system performance. This role is critical to advancing Somalia’s water security and public health goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain water treatment plant equipment, including filtration systems, pumps, and chemical dosing units.
- Conduct regular water quality testing and ensure compliance with national and international standards.
- Monitor and document treatment processes, generating detailed operational reports.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and schedule preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with local authorities and community representatives to address water supply challenges.
